Development Trend of China’s Refractory Industry in the New Era

About author:Zeng Dafan is a professorship senior engineer and enjoys special government allowances of the State Council. He graduated from Wuhan Iron and Steel Institute in 1984 and received his master’s degree from Beijing University of Technology in 2005. At present, he is the vice president of China Building Materials Academy, the chairman of Ruitai Materials Technology Co., Ltd. He also holds the concurrent post of the chairman of The Association of China Refractories Industry, the vice president of China Construction Glass and Industrial Glass Association, etc. He has been awarded the Nomination Award for “Ten Outstanding Young People in Central Enterprises”, “Model Workers in Central Enterprises”, “Excellent Workers of National Building Materials Industry Enterprise Management”,“Outstanding Entrepreneurs in the National Building Materials Industry” and “Top Ten News Figures in the Building Materials Industry”, etc. He has made brilliant achievements in the fields of scientific and technological progress of refractories, industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, enterprises management, and enjoys a high reputation in the industry.

Abstract:

The development status of the downstream industries of refractory industry, such as iron & steel, cement, glass, and nonferrous metals was analyzed, and it was pointed out that the market demand of refractory industry entered a platform period. Effect of supply-side reform on the development of refractory industry was deeply discussed, the viewpoints of multi-dimensional innovation of refractory industry were put forward, and the development trend of automation and intelligence in refractory industry was emphasized. It was clarified that the “Belt and Road Initiative” brought new opportunities and pointed out the development direction of China’s refractory industry.
